That one which I haven’t been able to find more of, has some of the best free standing dog statues in action.

  3. Nice Chinggis pano! Love the way the visitors enter the observation deck via the crotchway doors. Where is this thing?

  9. Funny you should mention Azalea Mall. I saw a sad development over there today… there were work crews over there cutting down all the vegetation that has grown up. This resulted from recent pressure put on the property owners and Henrico County by my very own neighborhood association (another sad fact). There had been a bunch of chatter again about what to do with the mall and it was finally decided that all they could do was cut down the trees that have grown up there. Apparently, some people thought the vegetation was an eyesore and a danger to public safety.

I will miss the trees I’ve been watching grow up over there for the past decade.

When I took my last pano to merge with the circus tent photo from 2005, there were state police patroling. They are going to keep that area safe with WMC being right there.
I was at that Walgreens last Sunday and spooked a robber and was with the store manager waiting outside for the law. I don’t consider myself that threatning these days but it was enough this day and this guy looked pretty rough ( shorter, younger, and high as hell on something).

There was also a homeless Vietnam Vet singing and playing the guitar on that corner. I saw alot of homeless people that warm day on the corners around town.
