This post isn’t good enough. Your posts will never be good enough. And you’re not as pretty as your sister.

How many narcissists does it take to change a light bulb?
    A. Only one but he has to wait for the world to revolve around him.
    B. None. He lets mere peons do such menial tasks for him.

According to mental health professionals people afflicted with NPD or Narcissistic Personality Disorder display five or more of the following traits. Do YOU know someone like this?

    * Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates acheivements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
    * Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty or ideal love.
    * Believes that they are “special” or unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with other special or high status people or institutions.
    * Requires excessive admiration.
    * Has a strong sense of entitlement, e.g.,unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations.
    * Is exploitative of others, e.g., takes advantage of others to his own ends.
    * Lacks empathy, e.g., is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others.
    * Is often envious of others and believes that others are envious of him.
    * Regularly shows arrogant, haughty behaviors and attitudes.

  3. and I’ve been doing right much business with these folks lately: http://www.lightinguniverse.com/?ppc=38&af=38&s_kwcid=lighting%20universe|6251688741&gclid=CPaq2tS9uaoCFYHc4Aodq0U13A

  4. I had just emailed a friend about our favorite of the new energy saver bulbs. Some of them put off some god awful glow (GE). The one above sells at KROGER under the Everyday Living Brand compact florescent light bulb 60W Model 2814S_L. It’s listed as a Bright White Light, but has a cool tint to it that makes it enjoyable for us. Alot of the others have a horrible yellow tint almost like the crime lights outside.

  5. Thanks Roto for giving us this opening, also regarding florescent bulbs in the first years of the power shed, Pete Cornels mom had given me a grow light that lit it for the first couple of years and I loved just going out there for the light. When it burn’t out things seem to go south for me along with suffering through GWB butchering this country that appears there is no recovery insight. Reading Al Gore’s “The Assault On Reason” which doesn’t cheer me up much either.

  6. I like the LED bulbs that radiate at 5000 kelvin. It’s in the blue end of the visible spectrum and the light is much like daylight. I used led bulbs extensively in the crypt project and had several left over that I’m using in the cave for a more daylight effect. Plus they are supposed to burn for 30,000 hours and more before they burn out. Well worth the $24 per bulb price at Lowe’s.

  7. Similarly:

Back in the early 80s I was in the Giant in Bethesda, MD on Old Georgetown Road and I saw a posting for this on the public bulletin board:

    POTLUCK for the Bethesda/Chevy Chase
    Bulimia and Anorexia Support Group.

    Yummers!

    A night to remember

No lie. I saw the ad myself in the newspaper I was working at.
