As the author of this post, you can edit it if you like to show the video instead of a link.

    POSTING YOUTUBE VIDEOS

    1) View the video on Youtube and copy the URL (web address) from the field at the top of your browser. For this video, it’s
    “http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z2pNpoix3s”

    2) Type the following:

    FORM:
leftBracket youtube equalSign URL rightBracket (no spaces)

This works in comments, too. You’re welcome.

Hmmm… steps got cut off. Let’s try this again:

Admin! Help! WordPress is deleting lines of my text that contain or are near partially formed tags, which I’ve been trying to use in steps 2 to 4.

    OK, the hard way:

    POSTING YOUTUBE VIDEOS

    1) Grab the video’s URL from Youtube
    2) Type a left bracket, the word “youtube”, and an equal sign
    3) Paste in the URL
    4) Type a left bracket

    FORM:
leftBracket youtube equalSign URL rightBracket (no spaces)

  4. corndoggie Says:

    Er… that is:

    4) Type a right bracket.

Too ticked off at WordPress to know my left from my right!

Anyway, it’s not a feather dusting machine, it’s a mesmerizing violin caressing machine. Art, don’t you know. Just sayin’.

  6. I like the feather duster the best. During the early days of what critics called the surrealist movement in art, one of surrealism’s progenitors said that surrealism is “as beautiful as the chance meeting on a dissecting table between a sewing machine and an umbrella.” I feel that the feather duster contraption captures the essence of surrealism. Also, Roto – I think your video is an animation, a fake, an imposter for a real thing that never existed. Maybe that makes your submission more Dada, but I favor the surrealist piece. Something I would call more in the vein of industrial design is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEECgZ5b8IY

I like the vibrato. At 1:23 you can see a lever over the tailpiece wiggling the strings, seemingly under paper-roll control.

Tut, tut, J-Mos! Is your “Greatest Composer” animation “a fake, an imposter for a real thing that never existed”? Well, of course, but it’s Art, ain’t it?
